19 Feb USCIS Announces New Form G-28 To Be Released Soon
Today, USCIS announced by email that it will soon release an updated Form G-28 Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative. Form G-28 allows USCIS to verify that an applicant is duly represented by an attorney.
USCIS stated that it is currently making necessary system changes to incorporate the new features that appear on the revised Form G-28. However, USCIS also stated that the formal release of the new Form G-28 has been temporarily delayed and, as a result, is not yet available for public use. USCIS expects the new Form G-28 will be out soon.
In the interim, USCIS may issue written notices on pending cases to attorneys as “courtesy copies” instead of attorney copies because an attorney’s previously filed Form G-28 has not yet been fully transitioned to the new Form G-28 system.
