Visa Appointment Updates for U.S. Embassy in Mumbai and New Delhi, India

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India have not yet resumed regular processing of all visa categories but continue to expand services as local conditions and resources allow.

We are pleased to inform you that the U.S. Mission in India has begun processing immigrant visas in some categories.

The Consulate in Mumbai is currently processing CR-1/2 and IR-1/2 (spouse and children of U.S. Citizens), K (fiancé/fiancées of U.S. Citizens), SB-1 (Returning Residents) and certain other mission-critical and emergency cases.

The U.S. Embassy in Delhi is processing IH-3 adoptions as well as SB-1 cases. The consulate in New Delhi has also resumed limited processing of all visa categories, including student visas, H1-B, H4, L-1, L-2, C1/D, and B1/B2 visas.
