USCIS released the Visa Bulletin for Sept. 2015, and the it brought with it some good news and bad news.
The good news for the EB-5 program was that priority date for persons born in mainland China inched forward a few weeks. In August of 2015, the EB-5 cut-off date for mainland China was September 3, 2013 and the rest of the world was current. In September of 2015, the EB-5 cut-off date for mainland China moved forward to September 22, 2015, and the rest of the world remained current. This means that persons born in mainland China who filed their visas up to September 22, 2013, can now complete Consular Processing or file Adjustment of Status.
Additional good news is that EB-3 category for persons born in mainland China stepped forward five months. Persons born in mainland China will have a cut-off date of December 22, 2004 under the September 2015 Visa Bulletin, compared to June 1, 2004 under the August 2015 Visa Bulletin.
The bad news is that the EB-2 category took a fall backward off a 7 year cliff: persons born in mainland China will have a cut-off date of January 1, 2006 in the September 2015 Visa Bulletin, compared to a cut-off date of December 15, 2013 under the August 2013 Visa Bulletin.
