October Visa Bulletin Shows Small Progress for China EB-5

September 13, 2017 – The U.S. Department of State recently released the October 2017 Visa Bulletin. The October Visa Bulletin shows a one-week jump for the Mainland China EB-5 category Final Action Date, which is now at June 22, 2014.

Additionally, the October Visa Bulletin shows that the EB-1 categories for India and Mainland China are now current and available.

USCIS has not yet advised whether it will accept I-485 Adjustment of Status Applications for immigrant visas in the family or employment categories based on Chart B (“Dates for Filing”), rather than Final Action Dates. We can expect this information within a week.

The October Visa Bulletin also includes notes regarding the Special Immigrant Translator category and H.R. 601: Continuing Appropriations Act, 2018 and Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Requirements Act, 2017, which extended the Religious Worker, Conrad 30, EB-5, and E-Verify programs until 12/8/17.
